Part 2: St. Thomas Adventurous Elopement Styled Shoot - Virgin Islands Wedding Photographer
And here's Part 2 of the Botany Bay & Mermaid's Chair bridal elopement styled shoot.
After finishing up at the first rocky beach, we headed back over to Mermaid's Chair for the rest of the session. The little cove and beach peninsula are so incredible and I can't wait to go back and visit! We took some fun portraits first, then snapped some detail shots of the flowers, pottery, stationery, and decor.
Angelina, our sweet model, freaking killed it throughout the whole afternoon. If you're ever looking for a model in the USVI or throughout the Caribbean - she is your go-to girl! It was so fun getting creative with her and exploring all of the different areas of the beach. Scroll through all of the photos below to see what we came up with.
During styled shoots (or even when I'm second shooting weddings!), I love to grab behind the scenes photos of vendors doing their thing. It's so fun for me to surprise hair and makeup artists, planners or officiants with a nice portrait of them. Jessica put her heart into every detail and jumped through so many hoops to travel from Michigan to the US Virgin Islands with the flowers, Carol Hannah Bridal dress, invitations, decor, and more. Keep scrolling for a few photos of Jessica doing what she does best!
Working with other vendors on creative projects and styled shoots is so much fun and I plan on doing more of it throughout the year. It's so important to keep challenging yourself in this work - to keep pushing the boundaries and keep things interesting. I'm looking forward to what's next and bringing my crazy ideas to life!
